According to a national study, the typical American household washes nearly 400 loads of laundry per year. On average people are spending approximately $500 on laundry detergent every year, but what exactly is in that laundry detergent? Borax (also known as sodium tetraborate) is a laundry booster and a natural mineral compound that is used as a cleaning agent.

At this chemical company that manufactures household and commercial cleaning products, a Tracer 1000™ 2G Guided Wave Radar Level Transmitter is measuring a 58 foot storage tank containing Borax. The Tracer 1000™ 2G is unique as it can provide reliable continuous level measurement in liquids, solids and slurries. The TDR technology is not affected by pressure, temperature, viscosity, vacuum, foam, dust, changes in dielectric constant or coating of the probe. Learn more...

Combined Sewer Overflow and Sanitary Sewer Overflow Monitoring

CSO and SSO Monitoring

Combined Sewer Overflow and Sanitary Sewer Overflow Monitoring

Accurate level measurement, control, and reporting are critical to combined sewer overflow (CSO) and sanitary sewer overflow (SSO) monitoring. The FLO-CORP AccuTank Level Monitoring System combines the durability and precision of our level transmitters with feature-rich remote monitoring software and web interfaces. Specific strengths of the system include flood control, EPA reporting, duplex and triplex pump control, data logging, e-mail alerts, and much more. Offered in both non-contacting (ultrasonic) and contacting (guided-wave radar) varieties, the system has very few installation restrictions and performs well even in harsh sewer conditions.

CSO & SSO - Flood Prevention, EPA Reporting, Pump Control, E-mail Alerts, Data Logging

The AccuTank Level Monitoring System provides the key factor that has been missing from the market: a cost effective level system with standard Remote I/O bringing the features of SCADA and HMI software within reach for small to medium sized municipalities. From the design of our monitors and relay expansion module, to the capability of our level transmitters, to the functionality of our software and web interface, we have put together a level system that emphasizes innovation in CSO and SSO monitoring. Please contact us to learn how we can put together an affordable solution for your CSO and SSO monitoring and control needs.

Flood Prevention

Monitor My Guardian logs and reports data from the Guardian 2000 Wireless Monitoring System through cellular and satellite networks providing a wire-free transmittion of data with GPS satellite location.

EPA Reporting

DigaLink Remote Monitoring Software tracks and reports data from the DigaCom 2000 and DigaTouch Universal Process Displays through Ethernet, Modbus, or RS485.

Measuring and Recycling Cooking Oil

FLO-CORP provides operational innovation and "green" advantages through the Smart Oil Management System.

FLO-CORP's Smart Oil Management System
FLO-CORP's Smart Oil Management System featuring the Tracer 1000 Guided Wave Radar Level Transmitter and DigaCom Universal Process Display.

FLO-CORP was contacted by one of the service providers of Walmart to provide every Walmart store in the United States with the Smart Oil Management System. The reason this system is so unique and extremely popular with the food service industry is because of its advanced capabilities. Corporate Walmart now has the capability to keep track of the entire inventory of used cooking oil in every store across the country. The system also alerts the store managers of the exact amount of used cooking oil that will be collected by the service company for recycling use. More advanced features of the system include overflow prevention, theft prevention, and the ability to automatically dispatch the service providers when the oil is ready for pick up.

FLO-CORP provides "green" solutions

"The rendering process collects inedible byproducts from the food processing chain and recycles it into fat, protein, and hide products that can be reused."

The Smart Oil Management System is not only a great operational innovation, but it is a product that has many “green” advantages as well. The rendering process collects inedible byproducts from the food processing chain and recycles it into fat, protein and hide products that can be reused.

Approximately 70% of the used cooking oil is filtered and reused as oil.  The other 30% is recycled using other methods creating an eco-friendly, 100% reuse system.

The Smart Oil Management System is also in use in Costco, Burger King, Wendy's, & McDonald's stores.

FLO-CORP is thrilled to provide the Smart Oil Management System, helping keep our planet clean!

Please contact us for more information or to get a quote on the Smart Oil Management System and other products.

Level Transmitter Installed In Abu Dhabi

FLO-CORP's Tracer 1000 Guided Wave Radar Level Transmitter is installed throughout the world in process applications.

This photo is from Abu Dhabi where the Tracer 1000 was supplied by our sales rep, AWTIE (Al Waleed Technical Instruments) for biodiesel level measurement.

Our level transmitters have been selected to cover a full range of processes, whether simple or complex.  They provide accuracy for both continuous and point level measurement in both contacting and non-contacting models.  Plus, sticky and highly corrosive liquids are no problem.  We put a lot of thought into our transmitters and rebuilt our lineup to focus on quality and accuracy, while still working to come in at a very competitive price point.

Vibex Vibrating Level Switch

Vibex Vibrating Level Switch

  • Simple, compact design
  • Extremely reliable
  • Setup with adjustment or calibration
  • Independent of liquid properties or installation conditions
  • No moving parts, thus wear and maintenance free
  • Suitable for temperatures up to 302º F (105º C)

This universal vibrating level switch is an ideal instrument for accurate point level detection in liquids. Using vibrating fork technology, this device will detect the change in its natural resonant frequency (1.100 Hz) which is driven by an internal piezoceramic element inside the sensor. The frequency will change when the sensor is covered to a known point on the vibrating fork upon which the sensor will send a switching output. If the vibrating fork is not covered by liquid, its natural resonant frequency changes back and so does the state of the switching output. Typical applications include washing, filling, cooling and lubricating systems, sump level and bulk holding tank level control.

Contact FLO-CORP for more information on Vibex.
